Hi! I recieved a beautiful purse from my Mother, and she didn't remember anything about when or where she got it. It seems to be all metal. Felt feeling fabric lined. I cant find a marking on it to even give me a hint. Help please? Thank you in advance!

Oh, how lovely. Have you tested the metal? Could you show a close up of the lining fabric? Trying to figure out if it is a velveteen or velvet fabric.

first impression is 1970s hard shell metal purse. it will polish up beautifully using good jewelry polish, like simichrome or wenol cream (they come in a tube).

eta: be sure to test the cream on a small, indiscernible area rather than the front design area first.

Does it have a synthetic feel to it? It's difficult to tell from the photo but it does look synthetic rather than a cotton or silk velvet or a soft velveteen.
