House of Adair Dress

I have a beautiful beaded House of Adair dress that I bought for my daughter's 20's wedding, earlier this year.
I'm now thinking about selling it on so that someone else can appreciate it. Would anyone be able to advise me as to how to get it valued and where would be the best place to sell? I've been advised that these dresses are quite rare and hard to come by?

Lucky you! The best person to value it will be someone you can take the garment to, rather than online photos. You could try a museum to see if they have a professional valuer on file.

An easy option is to look for similar styles online and what they sold for, eg, closed ebay auctions. Keep in mind that any online prices may be wishful thinking that the seller is asking for, rather than market value.

Condition, size, colour and fabric affect value too - if you bought the dress earlier this year, the value is likely to be similar to what you paid, as prices won't have changed much in the last eight months.
