She's so busy being the chief cheerleader and organizer of this place that you'd think we all would be falling over each other to wish Chris and her husband a Happy First Wedding Anniversary!:BAGUSE:

Sorry this is late, Chris, but the congratulations are genuine, and I wish you as many happy years together as I've had with my dh (28 and counting!).

So let's all drink to Chris and Tom's first year together!:booze:

My gosh, I knew you were going away for Memorial Day weekend but forgot all about extending my best wishes.

Happy Anniversary Chris and Tom! :booze:

Thank you guys, that is so nice of you.

So closes our first "official/legal" year together. Our combined legal and illegal LOL years since we have been together is approaching 9. That is kinda strange to think that it has been that long. I remember him asking his (our) friend John to be the best man, John's reaction was "It's about time."

Our anniversary was the 30th. Why did we get married outside on what seemed to be the hottest day of the year? I don't know what got into us!
folks said a year ago about how i was so worried about various family members going crazy because it wasn't "their way," that it will just seem minor and somewhat humorous in hindsight, they were 100% right.

We celebrated by taking advantage of a hotel package we had won, and on our official anniversary ate our year old top of wedding cake portion. And we celebrated about not getting food poisoning or dying. the Italian Rum Cake with boiled cream filling tasted just as good as we remembered it, after it thawed of course.

Again, thanks guys, it was very thoughtful of you to mention it.

Chris

And we celebrated about not getting food poisoning or dying

Always a good anniversary criteria!

Glad you had a good one (and didn't die).

MIL stayed with the boys for a night. We didn't know they allowed dogs until we got there. just as well because we got a night away from being pushed out of bed by two bed hogs who may not be very big but can stretch out very far. Last time we took them to a hotel, Alex (dog on the right) is a good traveller but Ollie (dog on the left) is full of curiosity and has to "answer" every little noise he hears and just bounced around all night (new place! oh boy!). Not loud enough to disturb anyone in other rooms, but loud enough and close enough to one's ear to not let you sleep.

Deb, yeah, not dying of food poisoning works for me.

Happy Anniversary Chris! A belated but sincere toast
