How do you date scarves?

Hi,

Could you give some tips on dating scarves. Sometimes it's blatantly obvious based on the era-specific pattern or style. But are there other clues?

How about these two -- the pink one from Saks Fifth Avenue, and the purplish blue from Schiaparelli? My guesses are 60s and 70s, respectively. But honestly, I don't know. That's pure gut and I wouldn't trust it.

I date scarves on the fabric, stitching (although that usually doesn't help) and any labels - I think both of your scarves are '70s. The first one looks like a nice quality.

I love the pink one, Nicole. Both are nice quality. But you're right. The pink one is heavy silk. Saks has always been a nice store. No junk there, ever.

How about this? Is there a standard name for one of these "tubular" scarves? I'd call it an "infinity scarf," but I can't just make something up (not exactly SEO). I come across them from time to time, but this is the only one I actually purchased. Loved the happy orange polka dots.
