How does one date Shoe stretchers?

Maybe its not really a big deal, but I like to know when things were made. What are any rule of thumbs for dating show stretchers, or does anyone have an idea about these? I was attracted to them because of the wood and because they are fashion related.

One of them is for a size 12 and the other just says "XL" The darker one says "Earl Dark" on it.
 
Ah, one of those. I always seemed to think they looked all the same...but maybe that's because they are :)

I was intrigued by the "King Size Footwear" wondering if that was a brand for basket ball players or something or it was just something the shoe stretcher maker put on there to let you know it was for larger sizes.
