How Is the Gunne Market?

I scored a find that I wish I would have found 5 years ago. It's a lace up corset style Gunne Sax dress. Its brown with a small ginghamy floral pattern (tiny flowers), and its a smaller size that seemed to be going like hotcakes and for big prices a few years back. I'll have to get photos of it in the next couple of days. I don't expect my local place will be begging to pay me hundreds for it or anything...but I am just curious if anyone has had any luck with them lately (in the past 6-8 months).

I picked it up, because no mater the trends now, this seems to be the quintessential gunne/prarie/Renn maiden style that people seem to like from this label.

So, what's the current thoughts on Gunne Sax? Is it a keep till the next tide blows in sort of thing or is it seem to always do well? (or a "wish i could go back in time and meet my old self and hand it to myself" thing)

I think it is depressed Chris. I believe the apex of the 70s revival has passed, and although there will still be decent money for some GSs it isn't what it used to be. I sold an early (black label) Gunne in the spring for my low opening bid on eBay, which is probably partly eBay, partly the economy...and partly the market for Gunnes.

That's what I thought :(

I'll take some photos. I was debating over the whole me modelling it or having it on a hanger thing. Dear Juliet, my manni, is still at a relative's house in Florida. She didn't fit in the small trailer when I moved without having a situation of breakage (i needed my mattress right then more than her I guess!). Sometime when I wander back down there, I will bail her out :)
