How old are these shoes?

I'm on the fence with these shoes, as they are older than most that I find.

Are these black velvet peep toe shoes 30's or 40's?

Hi Jody!

The first are 40's - and I am actually getting a 40's vibe from the second pair as well (the heel?) but will let Jonathan or someone more knowledgeable come in and give their input (every once in a while, I *am* wrong. )

I love the black pair and think they will do well for you!

Heck. I looked at these earlier and am stumped on the first pair. I think something about the very thin straps on the vamp is making them look 'whispy' to me. If forced, at gunpoint, to choose between 30s and 40s for them, I think I'd choose 30s.

I feel strongly, though, that the second pair are 30s.
