How old is this Lace Shawl?

Can someone please help me with this beautiful Shawl?

It measures 80 inches across the top and 54 inches down to the point in the back, this does not include the fringe, the fringe border measures about 10 inches long...

I have no idea what the fabric is, it feels silky, but has a stretch to it longways...
To me it looks like one of those lace tablecloths.

TIA~ Tori

Hi Tori...pretty!

I'm guessing 70s, although I am pretty sure that you can still
purchase shawls like this now.

That is so pretty. I have no idea on this needlework but I will keep this bumped up for you. Maybe Sue will drop back by since she is the expert on lace.

DEFINATLEY 70s...I remember them well. EVERY girl in high school had one in the late 70s, worn with their lace insertion dresses at school parties.

Yes, you can still call it lace. It is probably a nylon synthetic blend (and is definitely machine made).

Shawls are so big right now that this should do well for you, particularly with the party season coming up.

Sue

Thanks you guys, 70's makes sense, it's like my grandmothers lace tablecloths but not real lace if you know what I mean. :)

I think I will incorporate Stevie Nicks into this one...
