Hi
Hope some of of the handbag experts can help with this. Just acquired a cute Enid Collins flower basket purse. Its in pretty good condition but the cream color leather is really dingy looking and there are a some scratches.

What's the best way to clean it up? Is there anyway I can get it looking almost new again?

Thanks Theresa

Well..have you tried just wiping it with a barely damp cloth to determine whether it is just surfact dirty or whether it is deeper than that?

There are several wipe type leather cleaners on the market. I actually got something in the automotive section that worked for just surface stuff.

If that doesn't work, coach puts out a good leather conditioner and cleaner, and there might be something at your local tack shop.

If nothing seems to work, you might be faced with leaving it as is or a ver light application for shoe polish.

I did find out that the Enid Collins old factory was purchased by a former employee and you can send them bags for repair.

I bought some saddle soap in the shoe department at Walmart to clean some early 1900s boots. They turned out terrific. It certainly wouldn't hurt to try this on your leather purse. It really does a good job cleaning and also conditions it.
