How to Take Better Pictures of Gloves

I usually pop gloves on my scanner. Photographing black is a constant dilemma. I have usually converted a picture to b/w grayscale and then lightened to show details and then juxtapose its with a photo with the true color regardless of details showing.

In July, we will have an excellent photo workshop, just FYI as well

I have laid them over a brightly covered handbag. That would show some contrast.

I know. Black is a bummer.

Well I actually tried several different colored backgrounds to no avail. I'll have to work on it a little later and see if I can come up with better shots.

Maybe I'll see if I can find someone with good pictures on ebay and ask them how they do it.

I've found that taking the pictures outside on a fairly bright day helps and if the glove fits you it really makes a better picture. I have fairly small hands so many vintage gloves fit. I pose my gloved hand at an attractive angle and the other glove flat on the table (in the same picture). Joanne
