My brother sent me this, and it's fascinating - watch The Queen (she's Australia's queen too) change her hairstyles, fashions and grow old.

I really enjoyed watching that. I have seen photos of her when she was quite young. She was quite attractive. The Getty "Decades of Fashion" book has several images of her.

The crowns and tiaras are quite something! I have been to London and had the opportunity to see the royal crown jewels on display from the moving walkway, you just get a glimpse and they
are amazing!

My dears most of the world is still in the Commonwealth - it's just no one listens to us anymore

Indeed it's true Anne - I was so disappointed when I went to the UK for the first time and discovered that the Commonwealth countries do not get any special treatment - at Customs there is one queue for EU members and the rest of us are all in together!

I did succeed in sweet-talking Customs into letting me in without a visa though - not sure how I had missed that vital bit of information but I'm glad he didn't send me back to Australia. My British passport application hadn't been approved before the flight and so I just winged it. (so to speak).
