I need help dating and identifying this Eaton's fur salon coat

I picked up this coat at my local salvation army as both my grandmother and mother worked at Eaton's back in the day and I thought it would interest them. But now I want to know more about it! The inside tag says dyed and processed lamb (but the fur isn't curly or similar to any lamb I've seen before so I'm not quite sure if that is the correct label). Help identifying the age/date and fur types would be great!

update: Okay so I know the body of it is Mouton fur (lamb) but the texture of the lighter brown is different so I'm not sure about that. Still need help with the years thought!

The style - cropped and boxy - looks 60s. I'm not sure on the fur, but we have a really great fur resource. I would recommend comparing to the pictures and descriptions of mink and other, smaller mammals. The guard hairs and the density, as well as softness, are much better judged with the piece in hand.

It's difficult to be sure without seeing it on and how it fits and flares, but I think I would go more 50s - the high rolled collar, single button, high placed slit pockets, and open, flred bottom look 50s to me, but it could very early 60s. The collar trim looks like mink to me.
