I need help identifying a 1960-70's Cashmere coat

I was recently given a vintage coat without any knowledge of its past. It's 100% cashmere, with a satin lining and (I think) mink fur collar. It has an ILGWU tag on the inside, along with a label that says "100% cashmere". After researching the ILGWU tag, I narrowed down the date of the item between 1964-74, but other than that, I cant seem to find out much more about this coat. I apologize for the spotty lens and horrible nail polish.

I would put it closer to the 64 date....looks like a nice quality coat. Most likely a white mink collar (might have yellowed some with time)

Nice find!
Thanks, I really like it. Is there any way I can find the designer or something else to help me price it or find others like it?

Your coat is lovely. So many of these coats from the 1960's just have the "100 % Cashmere" label, but a few have a maker's label sewn in the front side of the coat.....I take it that there was no other identifying label on your coat? If not, it's hard to say.
Yeah, only that label and the union tag. I've seen pictures of a coat identical to this, but with a "100% Cashmere" label of a different design. Could both coats be from the same designer?

It is my impression that a lot of different manufacturers/designers made these coats. The luxurious fabric is the primary feature since the design of the coats themselves are quite simple. And mink is always nice.

Cute coat. I also think this would be closer to 64 based on the shape and sleeves. The Mink fur collar does indeed look like it has oxidized a bit. There used to be a major wool fabric and design company named Forstmann. Forstmann tried to copyright a similar label but it had wording that said 100% virgin wool. In 1947 Forstmann went to court and it was decided that terms describing the fibers or fabric content could not be copyrighted alone. Designers before and thereafter even more so used terms like 100% virgin wool and 100% cashmere which signified the garments as being pure but did not indicate who the designers were.
