I believe this coat was made in the late seventies for my aunt, The outside is waterproof I I'm not sure of the material, but The inside is lined with either mink. Or sable. As well as the collar. The piping is braided dark leather. My aunt had the coat made because An actress once said that mink should be worn on the inside so you could feel it against your skin.
I believe the coat was made by Harris furs. But it no longer has the tag.Nor do I know if it ever had one.

Is it reversible? If so, and the fur can be worn on the outside, you might find a sneaky label in a pocket. I have a reversible mink jacket from the 80s, (the reverse is a basic kind of canvas type material - I always assumed it was to have the ability to be incognito and not attract attention on the subway late at night). It's currently in my shop. This could be 80s - the red with leather trim strikes as more Glam than the late 70s!

I'm not getting a good read on the fur type from these pictures, but you may find a match in our Fur Resource! It helps to be able to look up close and separate the hair down to the hide, be able to differentiate guard hairs and be able to tell the pelt size. Also, the softness factor!

There's a lack of more details in the photos, in my opinion, appears to be from the 80s/90s, but the pictures are too general
