Hi everybody!

I was out treasure hunting today and found a cool looking pair of old shades that I at first thought might have been Versace. Once I got them home however, I saw that what I thought was a Medusa head was in fact not. There are no visible markings left on the frames other that a worn "C H" on the right earpiece ( I hope not China). My question is: Does anyone recognize the emblem on these glasses? I know that authentication requests are a no-no, but what I'm looking for is more of a direction to continue research. Oh, and if anyone could narrow down the date that would be great.

I tried to get clearer photos but was mostly unsuccessful.

Thanks in advance for all help! :)

Hi Moehawk. It appears to be a lion/lioness or leopard head. I say the latter because the arms appear to have a leopard pattern decoration.
I think it's very cool that this logo looks like a pair of eyes through the lenses when closed! I can't help thinking this was designed that way on purpose.
If you could take some more photos when it's brighter you should get clearer photos, please take one of any markings that remain too.

Well, I tried my best to get clearer pics, but was unable. The only remaining marking on them was a "CH" on the right earpiece, so I don't know how much help more pics would be anyway. I showed the glasses to a few ladies I know that are into fashion, and one thinks it may be the Anne Klein lion head, and another mentioned Linda Farrow as a possibility.

The markings on the temples that look like leopard spots are raised, and the glasses feel like they are well made of quality materials. I didn't notice until you pointed it out that the lion head emblems look like eyes looking through the glasses when closed. I think that makes them even cooler!

Thank you again for looking. Maybe when the sun decides to come back out I can try again for clearer, better-lit photos.
