I should be so lucky.....I have Kylie\'s birthday dress - what do I do?

Well, not the ACTUAL garment...but it was a vintage Frank Usher dress, and I have the same dress. Mine looks more cream, but I think the flash photography made hers look more white.<p><img src="http://members.sparedollar.com/talentedamateur/kylie-usher.jpg"><br><p><br><img src="http://members.sparedollar.com/talentedamateur/kylie-usher1.jpg"><img src="http://members.sparedollar.com/talentedamateur/kylie-usher7.jpg"><br><Br><br><img src="http://members.sparedollar.com/talentedamateur/kylie-usher4.jpg"><img src="http://members.sparedollar.com/talentedamateur/kylie-usher3.jpg"><br><P><br>So, my question is, where on earth do I start? I've got a feeling someone out there really would love to own this but I don't know whether to feature, double list, what to put in the title.....ARGH, HELP!!!<p>Liz

I don't know either. Maybe do a "split screen picture" with your dress and hers next to one another in the gallery shot, so people see right away that it is THE dress :)
 
I like the split screen idea!

Liz, you want people to find the dress, but you also have to be careful about the horrible old keywordspam problem.

It's a beautiful dress, and should bring in a mint , but with eBay, who knows.

You ought to post this on the eBay VC&A if you haven't already.

She has great taste, and the dress suits her perfectly!

Thanks for all the suggestions so far! I will definitely do the split screen idea - that's a great idea!

I think I will probably feature it in vintage/70s, with a modest reserve and see how it goes. I'm certainly very anti-endless KWS of Kylie/Sienna Miller unless it's justified, and I'd like the auction to be largely based on the merits of it as a lovely goddess dress. I can see that formulating a title is going to take a while :wacko:

Liz, this dress will sell on its own merits. Goddess (the last I looked)
was doing well.

I would definitely use the split screen, that is a brilliant idea!

oh, yes i agree - but this is SO justified i can't see how you couldn't! i think you should definitely feature it and go for a split screen thing.

your photos are always fab and it's such a lovely dress that as you say it should do well on it's own merit, but with the added bonus of kylie modelling the same dress i think it will be a fun item to watch the bidding on...

I too can't wait to see the listing.

This is VERY Greek Goddess. But you know what it also brings to mind - Princess Leia at the end of Star Wars. That is kind of a silly thing to say, but there is that influence in that particular costume as well and George Lucas was known for his love of Joseph Campbell and Greek Mythology anyhow.

The subtitle is considered part of the description so mention it there along with the split screen gallery.
 
Thank you Lizzie!!! Of course now I will be panicking and hyperventilating until the whole thing is finished and everyone's happy!! (then I might celebrate!! :bouncy: )
