I got this as one of those roundabout emails from my sister this morning. Apparently they are dyed -- it can cost upwards of $15,000 to dye your cat and needs to be redone every 4 months!

According to snopes they are not really dyed. The pictures are from a book Why Paint Cats. The authors also wrote a book called Why Cats Paint. Both are kinda tongue in cheek.

No I wouldn't do that to a cat but it kinda makes me want to get a new tattoo
