I want to know more about this stunning dress. Any advice?

Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,

I posted earlier with an early 1900s slip, and here's the second of the batch. I think this garment is a mourning dress, but I have no idea of the era. (Not great with anything pre 1920s...) It has a ton of 1940s style characteristics, so I'm not sure if it was made later. I'd love to know anything you might be able to tell about this dress!

That is lovely. Of course, it is hard to be sure from looking at a photo, but it recalls the "19th century revival" fashions of the late 1930s.

I agree with the others, this dress definitley seems to date from the 30s. The lace and the row of buttons as well as the overall style would indicate it to be so. It's lovely!
