I want to show off my new cats (and want to see some pet pictures please!)

Our cat died at the beginning of January from liver cancer. And our house has felt empty ever since. So several weeks ago DH and I went to the local cat shelter to get a new one.

Of course we couldn't agree, so we came home with two.

This is Tex a/k/a Mr. Bib a/k/a Fatty McFattleston. He is a big easy going love - he greets everyone who comes over and talks to me all day long. And he's obviously been shedding on the carpet.

And this is Luna a/k/a Lunatic a/k/a Pretty Petite Flower. She is still quite shy, but can be a total love bug (on her terms).

I would love to see some pictures of your cats, dogs, hamsters, iguanas, etc....

Susan--sorry to hear about your cat :( I had to put one of my dogs to sleep 3 weeks ago and its so sad :( but you are lucky--she sent you 2 new great kitties!

I love Fatty McFattleston and Luna. They are gorgeous! I never had a long hair cat--she is so pretty.

Here is Hershy singing along to the Rolling Stones

This is LuLu-A-GoGo aka LuLu Lucifer

I can't find my Stinky Pinky cat right now--she must be sleeping upstairs....but here is my pet deer....Mr Nubbs. He shows up twice a day with his crew--pretty soon they will be inside hanging out.

You asked for it.....

Little Baxter, happy at last, sleeping with his "brothers" (formerly my favorite boots) on what was my favorite cashmere sweater.

Visiting my son's 43 pound pug, Igor, who loves clothing...here shown in his Small Dog, HUGE ATTITUDE tee.

I've always been a 'cat person' and would have a houseful if my eldest pug

didn't regard them as the ultimate squeak toy...

Adorable doxy....||||

.my mother bought a red mini when I was a teen. Named her Fredrika von Saxon. Only later did she confide that my paternal grandfather, Fredreich--originally from Saxony (before Germany WAS Germany)--was pushing her for a male heir, so she got a German DOG instead, female no less, and named it in his honor. Nasty sense of humor runs in the family.

She could outlast all four of us at Tug of War and drove my mother nuts tunneling around the yard, apparently searching for badgers, the doxy's natural prey.

I, too, really enjoy seeing pet photos and I think these VFG pets are particualrly sweet. So much so, in fact, that I invited my husband to look at them, too. When I stopped to point out the sweet picture of Baxter-the-pug sleeping on his back, my husband squinted at it and said, "What the heck .. is that a chicken?" :hysterical: He couldn't see the dog's head from where he was standing.

Anyway, I have been meaning to thank Ang (I think it was) for the Etsy link she gave a while ago, in which she mentioned how much she loved the motion lamp she bought. I went there, too, and thought his things were so much fun that I had him make this pet lamp for my husband's birthday -- and it is terrific:

Aw, Susan, sorry about your kitty. We get sooo attached, don't we. I'm a sucker for B&W cats too; they're just so tidy looking or something. Love Mr. Tuxedo Tex & Miss Luna...they look like perfect names for them.

My tiny Moxie lives with 2 Maine Coons, so she needs her namesake:

Especially when 3-footer Gus gets a little too ornery (who me?!):

I love that Penney picture too; my doxie was the love of my life as a kid. Tug-o-war and ball chasing for hours!

Cute cute cute!!!!! Sorry to hear about your cat, Susan, I lost Hobbes aka Robert aka Hobnobber a year and a half ago to throat cancer and I still miss the big goofball. I actually came across the blog I wrote on MySpace the day he died just the other day and it broke my wee heart all over again.....re-posted it in honor of him on my real-vintage.com blog if you want to see a picture of him. Not up to it this morning!

I used to actually have 6 cats (nuts? yep) but now just 2.

This is Buhaki (aka Bu aka BuRocker aka BuMancu aka Bucifer)......he's handicapped with cerebella hypoplasia, born with an underdeveloped cerebellum which really just makes him a little wobbly but otherwise normal and a cat with loads of personality....

This is the only picture I have of Basil, aka Princess Baloney...a teeny tortoiseshell. She is sweet but spends most of her time hiding, part feral and antisocial by nature. 11 years old.

Lynne, glad Paul was able to work with you!! I have a customer waiting on a Marylin Monroe lamp like my Marlene, he's got so much custom work from selling on etsy! Glad he's doing well, cool lamp!

Ang

Love seeing all the lucky, loved pets. Lynn - that lamp is amazing!

As a single woman, my pets are very important to me. I have four cats, two dogs, and a special eBay room where none of them are allowed. I have shown this photo before I think, but it's so funny. I came into the herb greenhouse one morning and saw that Claw had found the catnip ... and how.

I love all my animals, and I know favorites are inadvisable, but Claw is number one in my heart. When I nap with him he lets me hold him like a stuffed animal and we snuggle together, he slowly purring me to sleep.

This is claw with his nephews, Cat and Buster. Claw's sister, Claire, couldn't fit on the chair for this photo I guess. And also here is my single brother and his family.

Guess I'll have to take some new photos of my dogs and share them later.

So much cute I can hardly stand it~

Sorry for your loss Susan- we live in a rural area near a busy road so, sadly we've lost 3 kitties over the years-
We now have Max - no pix yet - who cuddles with the kids & my husband, but LOVES to sneak up and playfully attack me! As the only one who remembers to feed him and tend the litter box I would expect a little more "cuddling" and less vicious mauling:USETHUMBUP:
I guess he just thinks I'm the fun one!

Great pet photos everyone.

I need to send that lamp link to a friend.
She collects 40's and 50's lamps and is a HUGE dog person.

Your brother's family is nothing short of magnificent!!!!!!!

Oh, these are great!

Late ( and I do mean late!) last nite I went to my web pic host that I haven't used in over 2 years. I signed up & low & behold ALL my pics were still there! I got rather teary hen I found the pics of my Mr. Nibbs. As some of you know, I had to put him down in '04 & it just about did me in.

Naturally, I was doing the copy & paste boogie til the wee hurs. LOL

So - here are a few. I only have mz_bunny now, but Mitzi lived with us in Hemet, and Mavis came to live with me right before I moved to VA. She now lives with a family & kids & at last report was very content.
