Found in my mother's collections.
Odd handbag which opens like a book. Each half has a snap flap. One half has mirror pocket. The other has a brass Lampo zip pocket and slot pocket. Leather wrapped solid brass handles. Brass hardware. Possible prototype? No labels. Thank you!

Super cool that it's reversible! I have a 50s handbag with a snap off reversible cover, so makes it 3 options (each side of the removable plus the exterior without the cover). Because this one closes so narrow, I wonder if it was a carrying case for a manicure set, or some other type of all-inclusive item that wouldn't need much actual storage space, besides what came with it, initially. I've seen "dance bags" or minaudiere, that looked like a little purse, but were really a compact makeup kit. And, of course nail kits. Any remnants of powder or blush?

No remnants of anythings. Doesn't look like it has been used.
