Ideas for celebrating Earth Day April 22nd!?

Earth day is coming up April 22nd! What are the ways you will celebrate or honor the earth this year?
I am committing to picking up a stray piece of trash every time I'm out in public. Any other ideas?

To NOT FORGET my reuseable canvas bag when I go thrifting and grocery shopping!!! I always forget them at home

I commuted to work via train and bicycle (as I normally do).

I re-committed to stop buying bottled water.

I wore my Woodsy Owl "Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute" flicker pin to gently remind others that we need to take care of our planet!

YAY!! I love earth day! We are recycling fanatics! As we live in the middle of nowhere we have to drive 40 miles to the nearest recycling facility which we do once a month. We recycle everything we can and try not to buy things in not recycle-able packaging. We have no local glass recycling and have had to resort to drinking beer that comes in cans (ugghh).. Also we use canvas shopping bags and when we forget we take our plastic bags to be recycled.

oh.. and we buy vintage

I cut down my dead stuff in the garden and filled my 192 cu ft compost bin to the brim....plus used the dead tops from the pampas and other grasses to line the fence row and keep down weeds.
