Ideas on this STUNNING Skirt?

Hello everyone, Here is one of the most special skirts I have seen, but I have no clue about it. Any ideas? It has no tags and a metal zipper that goes up the side and closes with a metal hook.Thank you.

What a fantastic print! Have you checked the selvedge edges at the seam backsides for any clues, like fabric name or design name?

That is stunning! Is it a thick cotton? The style looks either 40s or early 70s so I'm guessing the earlier era due to the fabric and the materials.

What a good idea, I hadn't thought of looking at the edges. Here what I found, "A spectrum original vat color print" Does that ring a bell? Yes, very thick cotton

It looks like barkcloth to me. I wonder if it might have been fashioned from a piece of 1940s barkcloth. It looks a lot like drapery fabric of that time. Beautiful coloring and great print with the white cranes.

I was thinking barkcloth and found several "spectrum original vat color prints" among this amazing collection of bark cloth prints.

wow! I bought that skirt from lucitebox a few years ago. I think mine might be a different colorway, but the same style. I didn't think I would ever see another!
