Identify jewellery label

Anybody know what this says or recognize the maker? It's a 1980s earring:

I thought it looks like KIEN and I found a number of links to Kien-jewelry-Canada, such as THIS one.

A Poshmark link mentioned (but did not show) a piece with this description: "Created by designer KIEN from Montreal Canada in 1986."

EDITED TO ADD: I found a LinkedIn hit for a "Kien Hung, Owner Kien Jewelry, Toronto Canada area."

If you click on the filing number it says: "The right to the exclusive use of the word KIEN is disclaimed apart from the trademark." Does that mean they are not claiming exclusive use of the word Kien? Was it used elsewhere?

Note: I tried a few times to enlarge the photo below, but nothing worked, so HERE is the link to the website with the information.

Thanks Lynne - I did some searching on what you supplied and it seems it is more properly known as K'Ien, which is why the second letter looks like a T, not an I - however, it is often anglicized as KIEN online. Not sure what the exclusive issue is about, but it seems to be one of those companies that is never very clear about what it is - a manufacturer? a retailer? a wholesaler? an importer? From what I did find, they were founded in Montreal in 1986 and were around until at least 2012. I can't find any info for them dating after 2012 so they no longer appear to exist. Here is a pic of another earring with a better shot of the label showing the K'IEN label:

Found the 411 via Quebec enterprises. They were founded in Montreal on February 3, 1986 by Naila Jaffer. They are officially wholesale distributors of jewellery, so not sure where their stuff is actually made. Their last filing was in 2012 and their contact emails and websites are not working, so I think its safe to say they are defunct.

Naila Jaffer, the founder, is one of those entrepreneurs who has had many companies over the years - apparently K'Ien actually ceased in 2000. I suspect their jewellery probably was made in Canada under their label until 2000, and afterwards they switched to importing as I found an advertisement for K'Ien in the 2011 Canadian Jeweller's magazine, and the Quebec site said their last filing was in 2012... These are Jaffer's businesses:

K'IEN ART CONCEPT LTEE 1986-02-03 to 2000-03-06
Ô DESIGN INC. 1986-09-09 to 1995-11-08
2726424 CANADA INC. 1991-06-20 to 2000-03-10
PLANEX IMPORT (1993) INC. 1993-12-21 to 2004-07-12
Les Modes Concepts M Inc. 1996-07-04
PUBLICATIONS GLOBALMAG INC. 2006-12-05

The more you pick at the scab, the more you can see... it seems the company's last official agm was in 1991, and they ceased filing after 1993, so the closure in 2000 was induced by the Canadian government, and the 2012 filing was probably the legally required paperwork to close the company. So they probably didn't survive the '91 recession.
