Identifying a vintage Stetson hat

    I came across this hat and am curious to know more about it. There's no box with it, just the hat itself. I'm curious to know the approximate date of the hat and if it's valuable or not.

    Probably 1980s would be my guess with that burnished brass pin, possibly late 70s, but I don't think any newer.

    While this type of man's hat is not my area of expertise, it is one of their travel hats and looks to be made of duck, canvas or similar fabric. The style has changed little over the decades, but Jonathan's estimate sounds reasonable. I can say that while we do not place $$ value on items here on the VFG Forums, your hat is mass produced and not in the category of their finer felt hats. Additionally, most Stetson collectors want the fur-felt hats made before the 1960s and 1970s, after which the quality began to go downhill.
