I’m having a hard time figuring out how to date this jacket! It’s in immaculate condition (which makes me think it’s not super old) but I can’t tell if it’s vintage or antique? It is handmade and very professionally tailored. Royal blue wool with black trimmings. Trimmings are hand stitched. It has true pockets. Buttons on pockets and cuff are some sort of plastic. The real fur collar was added at a later date… it looks like a neck stole collar that was stitched on. Is this a really well made costume piece/reproduction? The lining is a very silky nylon? The frog closures kind of throw me off. Maybe 1960s does Victorian?
