Identifying Necklace

I got this necklace at an estate sale, but I am having trouble figuring out what it is made of and its age. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hard to tell it's age but the seeds look like what we call "Haole Koa" here in Hawaii. If you Google Haole Koa seed lei you will find similar images. Does it have a clasp or closure or have you doubled it?

It doesn't have any sort of closure. I've just doubled it up.

I remember them as 'apple seed' necklaces, but "Haole Koa" is a much better (and more accurate) name.

I have a bunch of these from my Mother, who got them in the 60s/70s.
