Hi all!
I recently came across this dress and just assumed it was a home sewn designer inspired garment. But looking at the interior and the construction details of the dress I began to think this was a possible designer gown. It's made of cotton velvet and cotton flannel(yeah, I know) and it quite substantial. all interior seams are perfect, all facings are sewn in with tiny couture stitches. Of course there is no label of any kind. If any of you lovely experts have seen anything like this before, any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you in advance!

Just a thought - it could also be made by a professional seamstress - items like that don't always have labels, but they can be extremely well made. I just picked up the most amazing ca. 90s cocktail dress with extensive draping on the bodice, all hand stitched in place, lining sewn in by hand - the amount of handstitching on it is just mind-boggling, and the workmanship on it on the whole I would say isn't far off couture work. It came with a matching transparent coat and a matching shawl, and neither of the items had a label in them. I'm assuming it was made by a seamstress - I come across this kind of thing every now and then at my local charity thrift shop. Almost heartbreaking to see the kind of prices they ask for these items, when I see what work into them and what they might have cost originally.
