We cannot authenticate items on the forums (please read the forum rules). Not every well-known brad/designer brand item must automatically be a possible fake, though today fakes of some brands abound. But it seems to me that some brands also attract more fakes than others... Can you show a photo of the entire coat, so that we can see how long it is, and maybe a bit straightened out - it seems to hang awkwardly on the hanger on your coat.

To me, the shop labels look "older" - I would associate that normally with 60s or maybe 50s. I couldn't find anything on the shop/boutique, Dietl, but this address is today home ot the Saint Laurent store on Kurfürstendamm. It's a pretty prestigious shopping area and has been for some time.

The Royal Appointment refers to the Queen Mother - and we had a discussion on Royal Appointments given to Aquascutum on this thread. According to that, the coat/jacket would have to date to a 1947-1952 time frame. Post-war economy in (western) Germany took up by leaps and bounds in the 50s (the so-called "Wirtschaftswunder"), though if by the early 50s items like Aquascutum coats, which I guess would have been expensive, were already being sold again there, I really don't know.

Tomorrow i can show how it fits on me if needed, since i cant do that now. Its very straight

Not quite sure how you are getting that conclusion Karin. The Queen's mum's Aquascutum warrant began in 1952. We don't have any information about if or when it was rescinded, so it may have ran until she died in 2002. I've found out since that thread that Royal Warrants are used for up to two years after the grantors death, so potentially the Aquascutum Queen Mother warrant ran from 1952 to 2004.

However our label resource suggests it stops appearing on labels after the early 80s, so perhaps it was rescinded at some point. Apparently they are granted for five years at a time, and then reviewed before being renewed.

Therefore this warrant on a label suggests 1952 to early 80s as a timeframe.

And I believe this particular Aquascutum royal warrant began in 1947, but Elizabeth Bowes Lyon was not at that point the Queen Mother - she was the Queen Consort as wife of George VI. Eg same person, but different royal title.

So presumably there may be a few 1947-to early 50s Aquascutum labels that state 'Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth the Queen Consort' (or some such similar wording). But I've never seen a label with that warrant.
