If You Are Having Problems Accessing Our Site

Last Wednesday night, November 5th, our website experienced some difficulties due to finishing moving over to a dedicated server.

Because of this, some of you may be having trouble logging in to our site. A newsletter will be sent with this information also.

If you are having trouble, you were probably trying to login to the site when all of this was going on. Either your spam filter/virus protection, your computer or your internet provider has blocked you from our site. You may also try to use a different service than Internet Explorer such as Firefox.

After exhausting the obvious reasons for being blocked such as clearing all cookies and temporary files and rebooting your computer, please follow these suggestions.

Our IP address is 72.1.114.200.

You can try to type the IP address in the address bar at the top instead of our url. It worked for me, however I have had no trouble on my home computer because I was not at home when this happened and didn't try to access our url.

This website tells about a proxy server which you can use to gain access to our site:

http://www.monsterguide.net/how-to-unblock-websites.shtml

The proxy url is www.proxaroo.info. When you get there, just type in the url to our forums:

http://www.vintagefashionguild.org/forums

You will probably have to type in your ID and password again.

Our website host was contacted yesterday and they tested our site from locations all over the world and it was fine. This is just a glitch on your computer or internet provider.

If you have any further questions or need help, please contact me at [email protected] or Jenn at [email protected].

Until right now, I haven't been able to get in since last Wednesday and I only managed now through proxaroo. You might want to do a role call of all our members to make sure everyone has checked in during the past week because if I couldn't get in I am sure MANY others won't be able either. Also, we might be bookmarked by many people who come to check out our label resource and are probably thinking we have bit the bullet. Perhaps someone could check on eBay chatboards to see if users can get in. I don't know if my computer will now accept the old email address but I made SEVERAL attempts over the past week and I assumed the site was completely down. I tried to get in and even dumped cookies, temp files, and history, refreshed, shut down and rebooted... I tried from a Firefox platform on a Mac and IE platform on my PC but nothing worked. I could get into some aspects of the site like the blog, but the general home page and forums kept timing out.

Nope, still won't work, I can only get into the VFG through proxaroo which I can't use because it dumps ads onto my server every couple of minutes - its a horrible site. I don't know what's wrong and why I can't get in here anymore but I'm not coming back until it's fixed. Everything worked fine before and I don't have unreasonable firewalls or settings. the VFG site is not working right.

I haven't been able to access it either. After reading the newsletter last night, I went through proxaroo and was able to get in as well. I downloaded Firefox and that didn't help either. I've never had a problem before with any other site. However, this morning I am able to get in no problem from another computer at work.

Im having the same issues as you guys. I can not get in even using the proxy way.

I can get in using AOL but am limited on what I can do.

linda if they dont get the email I can help when I get out of work.....Murphys Law, I came in early to use the PC here because it does get on the site!

I am having no problems at all getting in but is it just me seeing the dates all wrong? today it is Dec. 8th. but saying Aug. Thanks. Sandy

THey use the American system of month/date/year for the date, so December 8 and August 12 are the same to those who use the English system of day/month/year.
