I LOVED the video too Lynne! I was a custom hatmaker in the mid 80s- early 90s and the work that goes into the creation of just one buckram form, handmade hat is time consuming and intense. Not only does a miliner need to have fine sewing skills she must also be able to sculpt fabric.

Of course very few people are willing to pay the price for a work like this. Most hats today are pretty cheap, either mass produced and or simple, hand crafted soft form fabric. It made me happy to see the old arts alive and well!
