Hi All!

Just a heads up that someone is using one of our member's email to scam money from others. I received an e-mail, today "from Justine" asking to send her money.

However, I surfed around, first, to see if I could verify this and sure enough, here's the notice I found posted on her etsy store front page:

ATTENTION!!!!

My email address has been hacked and a mass spam email was sent to ALL of my previous customers stating I was injured and overseas in London needing money. This email was NOT sent by me and I am alive and well in Brooklyn! I am locked out of my email account and unable to access it at this time and have contacted Google about the situation. Please accept my apologies and I hope that you will not let this unfortunate occurance reflect poorly on me and my shop.

I thought perhaps they also contacted VFG members. Please note: if there is a better place to post this notice so that more VFG members will see it, could someone on the VFG board do that? I'm not sure what's best.

Poor Justine -- how unfortunate! It could happen to any of us, these days; couldn't it.

Was this just moved to the private/trade side? Since it references Justine's etsy shop announcement, I think it actually makes sense to have it public in case any of her customers have been contacted by the scammer and come here to try to figure out what's going on.
 
You can put this on the public side - but can we rename it to Ikonic Vintage has been hacked instead of scam? Makes it look like I am a scammer.

I promise I'm NOT! :(
