I\'m interviewed on \'A Dress A Day\'......

The lovely Erin over at the 'A Dress a Day' blog, has been interviewing all her vintage advertisers, and today was the turn of Freudian Slips Vintage!

In the unlikely event that you haven't already discovered it, her blog is very popular and well worth a read.

RE your Frank Starr 'Goddess Dress'....very Ava Gardner in ONE TOUCH OF VENUS....

I can provide info about your second label, Nicholas Ungar, orig. posted last October...

His unique tiny department store sported a blue glass Art Deco front, a marble lobby with a bronze fountain that spewed Chanel No.5, and a single lady in black with pearls, who asked you what was your interest.

IF you passed her exacting inspection, you were put on a bronze elevator and sent to the floor where live mannequins paraded the clothing. One or two ancient limos with liveried drivers usually waited at the curb. If you found shopping downtown tedious, they would personally escort a selection to your home for your approval.

The store facade still exists, but the shop itself is long gutted and added to an modernized space. The Limited? Abercrombie?

The Ungars still sell furs downtown in a smallish discrete location.

Those are intriguing questions! Holly, with your background no wonder you have such a tremendous eye and knowledge!

First off. You clothing name is Superb!(i want to say fabulous but folks say i use that word too much)
Wonderful Q & A! How Fabulous (yep, Fabulous) for you! And so fun to read! Congrats!!
(insert a face giving kudos to Holly) !!

Thanks all for the lovely comments!

Nice interview - and you are an impressive lady!
Thanks Amanda - that's very kind of you!:embaressed:
Love the interview!!! Now inquiring minds want to see a pic of you riding your retro bicycle!!!
I should post a picture of the bike on my blog - although it is pretty retro in a bad way I think! If I hang on to it for another 10 years it will probably be the height of 'old school' cool!

Now that is fabulous! Thanks so much for the extra info - I've got to add that in to the listing! I remember searching the label at the time and only coming up with the fur connection...

Thanks for the lovely compliment!!:embaressed: That's why I love the VFG - everyone has such different backgrounds, and such a depth of vintage knowledge to share! And Erin certainly comes up with some good questions..

Thank you! The name was a 'label' that I used for my final collection of garments years ago at university - and when I was setting up the vintage business an old uni friend remembered it and suggested I revive it - so I guess I should thank her for the idea!
