I'm looking for any info on a tapestry coat

I'm just looking for any info on the origin and date of this tapestry coat.

My first thought was 1960's, though I've never seen one quite like it before, the shape most resembles an early to mid 1960's coat. I think I'd call the fabric chenille rather than tapestry.

Hi,

I agree with 1960s. I have had about a dozen or more of these pass through my hands over the decades, though not all as lovely as your coat. I would call this a cut velvet tapestry fabric.
