Can you please poste photos of your item, front and back, as well? That will help with dating, we really can't date anything from a label alone, as they were usually in use for a number of years. But an item's style will tell a lot about when it's from.

Let me explain. While I was researching this dress, I found one that is exactly like mine and it had this label attached to it. Mine does not have any labels at all, but it is the same exact designed dress. Mine has a remnant of a tag at the side seam, but it was torn off. I figured that if I researched the label from the other exact dress, that perhaps it would tell me a bit about my dress. That's why I was trying to find out more about this label.
I've attached photos of my dress for your viewing. I'm guessing that it may be 1970's, but I'm not an expert at this. I'm just an ole gal who has a lot of passion for fashion history. The original belt is missing, so I've styled it with this one from a Lillie Rubin wool coat that I have.

Well, I just performed a Google lens search and a photo of a vintage Wayne Clark (Canadian Designer) colorblock chiffon dress appeared on my screen and it looks exactly like mine, and it's dated as a 1980's dress, per the venue that had it for sale.

I have now found two other dresses that are exactly like mine. Now, I'm trying to understand the connection between the Yves Saint Laurent label and Canadian fashion designer, Wayne Clark label.
Can anyone help me understand?
Is it possible that Yves Saint Laurent designed/drew the dress and licensed it to Wayne Clark? Is there a source to research such information?

Does it have shoulder pads? The dress appears to be early '80s, about 1982.
Wish I could help on the YSL/Wayne Clark issue, but it wasn't (isn't) uncommon for fashion labels to copy other people's designs, albeit usually in a different fabric or with small changes.

Thank you Nicole. No, it does not have shoulder pads. This dress is exactly the same as the dress that I saw online with the YSL label I shared in my first post. It also is the same exact dress that I saw online with a Wayne Clark label.
