Imperial Sequin Cocktail Dress

Does anyone have any info about this dress?

It's a 1950's to 60's cocktail/wiggle dress. The beads appear to be hand sewn individually. Is there no lining? What does it say on the little label please?

The little label just says "100% wool made in Hong Kong".

Thanks for your response. Any idea of worth? I would like to put it in my etsy shop, but I'm not sure about pricing.

That's a lovely example of one of those knit beaded dresses.

That is a nice one. I can tell you one thing - in the early 60s they weren't cheap. They were called 'floor length tiaras' by some in the fashion biz because they were shoulder to hem pearls and jewels.

Thanks, Jonathan. This one goes down to about right below the knee-mid calve. Would that still be considered 'floor length tiara'? Any research I can acquire would be great!

they came in full length and cocktail lengths, although that quip might have been meant for the full evening styles.
