India bangles - when are they from?

I have a question on the date of these bracelets - they are from India but I am not sure of the date. I've searched all over the net and I've seen them dated from the 30's to the 60's so I am so confused.

I remember them being available in import and head shops in the 60s.

also remember them in import and head shops in the 70s, in Iowa City.

I definitely remember these as well from the late 60s and 70s....very Hippie accessories.

I have some of these. They came from a shop that sold strictly India imports in the 60s and 70s.
