Info on Special Rhinestone Tag in Sonni Raffia Hat w/ Veil

Hi, I just saw a (probably 1950s?) Sonni hat at an estate sale, a black raffia pillbox (but soft) with a voluminous dotted veil around 3 sides, and inside a really large (like 3" x 2" vertical) Sonni label with a big rhinestone dotting the "i." I am wondering if I should go back and buy it tomorrow. Can anyone help me date it from the label? (sorry I didn't have my phone and couldn't take a pic). I did a bunch of searches among Sonni hats but havne't seen that kind of label on any. Thanks! Karen

All I can say is that as a long time collector I have come across a number of Sonni hats with that large tag with the rhinestone, and I recall they were early 1990s. But my memory is not as reliable as it used to be! They might be 1970s. Seeing the hat would give more clues. Can you recall if the label was black with gold "painted" lettering and the label glued to the hat?

Thank you! Yes I think it was black with gold painted lettering. But I'll go back tomorrow and take a picture!
