Info Please - Globe Belico & Lass o\'Scotland

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone heard of a company in operation in the 1940s named "Globe Belica"?

Below is a photo of an outfit I got from my mother and a closeup of the underside of the belt label. The date is certain because there is a photo of my mom wearing the outfit in the 1940s. It is the manufacturer that I hope to gain information about.

I believe there was decades ago a label attached to the top called Lass o'Scotland but the only identifying mark remaining now is the imprint on the inside of the belt that says "Globe Belico".

Can anyone shed light on either manufacturer and/or their connection to each other?

Because of the different sizes in the text on the belt, I think the name of the company is "Globe ...(and something else?) and because of the space between BEL... and CO I suspect it says "BELT CO," as in Globe Belt Company.

I found a 1900 reference to a Globe Belt Co. in a Biographical Directory of the State of New York. (Of course, I am not implying that your outfit dates to 1900).

I also don't think there was necessarily a connection between the two companies.
