Information needed on CFR or RFC evening bags

Hello there, I am looking for any information on evening bags/purses made in England around the mid 20th Century by a company called CFR or possibly RFC. As you can see from the logo, it's a little hard to tell which way round it is.
I have had a couple of these bags before in my shop and were obviously early 1960's but I now have 3 which I think might be older. Anyone able to shed any light on their age for me? I am thinking 40's and 50's? But could be 60's.View attachment 24022

I think I have a bag with that label somewhere, I'll try and dig it out.

I do think it's actually CRF, because you would read it from left to right.

I had a look but I couldn't find it no. I may have sold it. I just know I've definitely had one at some point!

I'm not sure about the age of your bags. Possibly that black one is 40s, but it could be 50s too. The other two I don't think are earlier than 50s, and could even be early 60s. But I'm not sure.

Hopefully someone else will have a better idea.

I love the last one with the roses, gorgeous!

I know I’m 10 years late (only joined VFG this year) but this label is indeed CFR - the company was CF Reader & Co of London. Founded in 1922 and continued manufacturing until the late 60s/early 70’s I believe
