Any history on this brand - Mens suit - Also interesting to me are the cuffs - I have never seen cuffs like this on a Mens suit and was wondering if these are custom - was this a style at a particular time? Can anyone date this suit? There is not a material tag anywhere that I can find but it looks and feels like Polyester or a Poly blend. IMG_6792.JPGIMG_6813.JPGIMG_6736.JPG

Often referred to as "turnback cuffs." They are a nice feature and if you are selling, they should be mentioned. They arent necessarily rare or unique nor are they really specific to an era - I have had turnback cuffs on suits from many different eras. I guess it is possible that the original owner had the sleeves tailored with the cuff but I don't believe the suit itself is a custom suit. As an aside, I find that the width of the cuff often corresponds to the width of the lapel but that is my own experience - nothing scientific behind that observation.

I believe Curlee was a suit manufacturer originally out of St. Louis (not sure if still in business today). From my experience, they made a nice suit but aren't a particularly sought after name like say early Palm Beach or early Ralph Lauren. For me, as a seller, with makers like this it is more about the suit itself than the suit maker. In your case, it being a 3 piece suit with the turnback cuff feature make it very saleable. I would guess this as 70s or maybe even early 80s but you might check to see if there is a union label in the inner breast pockets of the jacket which can help you confirm.

Maybe I am not seeing right on my screen but I am not seeing poly on your suit material. It looks more like a wool or maybe a wool blend. There are people here who are much more fabric savvy than me though - hopefully they will chime in for you.
