Is “Christian Dior Boutique Cuirs” legit?

Hello!
I purchased a vintage leather suit recently, because it looked like a lot of fun. The label says “Christian Dior Boutique Cuirs.”
I’m not looking to authenticate my suit through this post (since I know it’s against the rules), but I’m trying to determine if this label/line was real at one point. I can’t find historic info online. One person suggested a Paris boutique sold these in the 1980s. I’ve found similar pieces with the label, including a “valuable fur coat found at Goodwill!” Sure.
The suit I got is handmade and the craftsmanship is so so.
So, is Christian Dior Boutique Cuirs a real thing or is it a phony rip off? Your answer may help others when making future purchases since little info is online!
Also, I like the suit and I’ll wear it regardless of the brand. But if I ever resell it or gift it, I want to end the cycle of fraud if it’s fake.
Also, I did reach out to Dior and customer service wouldn’t help.
Thank you for your knowledge and help! I really appreciate it!

It's a woven label, so the length you would have to go to fake the label isn't worth the cost to produce. I haven't seen this particular label before, which suggests to me it was a short-lived line, probably by Bohan for Dior in the mid-late 80s when Dior was making wearable clothes in line with mainstream fashion - it's the reason why Bohan was replaced... I am not authenticating it, I just don't see why it would be a fake...

Thank you for your insight, Jonathan!

Hi Maureen, great suit! I found several pieces with this exact label online using a reverse image search on your label photo. All the pieces I found appear to be authentic and from the 1980's (mid 80's to early 90's seems to be the consensus). I cannot authenticate yours, however I see no reason why it would be a fake. BOUTIQUE CUIRS is French for LEATHER SHOP.

Thank you so much for digging around! I’ve also reserved a Dior book from the library to see if there’s more info (LOL never satisfied until I get the facts).
I wore the suit to a party this weekend and now all my friends want ridiculous 80s leather suits, so hey at least that’s come from this whole journey!

That's awesome! Spreading the vintage love! ❤️

Yep, as others have said it was their leather line range in the 80’s. It’s in AMAZING condition and totally wild. Maybe a catwalk piece. What a find!
