Is anyone familiar with Kay Kipps?

My latest thrift store find is a dress tagged Kay Kipps. Searching on the net has been basically futile and VFG doesn't have a label in the library. I know that she filed bankruptcy in 1983. I could find a newspaper advertisement from 1976. I can't place her back farther than that. So, then this dress is probably late 70's? Some sellers are representing that their Kay Kipps is from the 60's. I'd appreciate anything you might know about this designer. I think the dress is gorgeous!

It's very pretty, and I agree with late 70s. Alas, you'll find that more & more online sellers are misdating (either on purpose or accidentally) items by the boatload. I've seen 60s' polyester knit dresses dated as 40s online.... It's so nice to see people who want to date/describe their items correctly! Even if/when nobody here can definitively give an answer, at least everyone is engaged enough in trying to do things "right"! And even when we're off in our dating, it's not for lack of trying....
