Is it time for an intervention? Daniel Green

First I happened upon these

and I was instantly in love.. since then I seem to find Daniel Green slippers almost everytime I go out for a shop, I have also noticed that of the five pairs I have found now I have only listed two.. and I did so grudgingly ..

Ang, I heard you have the sickness too, is there anything that can save me?

I'm afraid not. Though I have no place yet to display mine here in the new house so haven't shopped for any in a while...maybe moving will help!! Love those gold ones.

These are some of my faves...

Rabbit puff satin mules...

And in this pic, the blue velvet w/ the rhinestones lower left were from Jean's estate and rank up there as a favorite too (Julie/Damn Good Vintage has an ad with them in it!)

Oh Angie, I just saw a pair of the DG rabbit puffs, but in a shocking Pink, while I was down in TX. I had to pass, not enough room

Gorgeous!
Y'all are making me cry.
I had 3 pair that were minty also: Black with an origami-style satin bow, silver x-strappy similar to ang's coral in front, and a pale blue maribou. All my size.
All incinerated. I wish I had photos.
Eventually I will find another perfect pair in my size, right?
Last weekend I did find two pair of vintage shoes that were a perfect fit, including a pair of alligator sling-back peep platforms. They're at the shoe repair now, I'll share photos when I can afford to bail them out.

Eileen, what a heartbreak. I can just picture those beauties. Yes, you will find more, and it's nice that you have some cool "new" shoes in the meantime.

B. I'm so glad, that your post reminded me, that I had these in the trunk! Where is my mind lately? I went to the Post Office, with my Waltah Clark dress halfway unzipped in the back, because the phone rang, while I was getting dressed. Oh dear.
Anyway, here is my latest pair;

Never alone around here Beth.
I had a pair like your gold ones, once upon a time too:

Sharon, some of the sixties ones are a bit wider, I think. There's hope!

And the good news is, it wasn't me, it was the zipper on the Waltah Clarke, that sneaks down of its own accord. If I use the hook and eye at the top, that helps it stay up! Ooops.

Being a British slipper fiend who'd never heard of Daniel Green, this is the most excitement I've had in weeks. Easily. By a mile. I think I'm ailing with the sickness. So I've sent you a U2U Beth. Shipping slippers halfway round the world seems slightly daft, but it's my birthday tomorrow, so I don't care!
