Is Peach 40s Rayon Really THAT appealing now?

I have a lovely rayon & acetate nightie w/ ecru lace as well as a paiur of fabulous PJs.

So...I went perusing eBay to help me figure out a decent price & I found like 20+ of them for $99.00 each.

Did they suddenly gain in popularity or does that seller just have a really great customer base, I wonder?

What say you?

I was waffling on the pj set, but if it'll bring that kind of $, I'll waffle no more! LOL

...off to check ended items.

Thanks so much - again.

I don't sell, I buy, so I would hesitate in giving you a price range, but I'm glad you're checking ended items... because there's certainly a difference between a nightgown *listed* for $99 and one sold at that price :)

Not sure about peach, but I personally, go wild for Shrimp color! I recently bought a shrimp color pajama set, hand-painted with Chinese theme lanterns, etc. which I am crazy about.
It depends on the rayon and the piece, condition, style, brand, etc. Vintage rayon items can be highly desirable, in many colors and prints.

Do you have photos perhaps?

I do know that a few moden lingerie companies are adding peach/pink over here to there shade, range made be it takes a while for a new shade to take off maybe it take a while for the market to decide on things and a little patchie in places.

Mhhh... I love that nightie! :clapping: No idea on prices, to be honest. I just know I wouldn't pay that kind of money, as much as I love vintage nighties / slips. I wear them and I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a new one either. And I know what I can get them for at the charity shops here (and they do know what they can charge for good pieces that collectors might look out for, though pricing is still down-to-earth).
I paid for my pink 40's rayon slip not more than a tenner (make that Dollars or Francs - they're pretty much 1:1 right right now) at the charity shop across town...
