Is there a name for this type of dress w jacket?

Is there a particular name for this type of dress with the high waisted jacket? It really comes just below the bust. The dress has the ILGWU label that I believe was used from 1955-1963 but no other labels - I have searched high and low - almost missed the ILGWU label. Dress feels like linen to me but that could be wrong.

There is some shine showing in pics - it is from flash though. Doesn't show up when looking at dress. Also - need to get that bow perked by up - suggestions? Light starch?

Have done lots of looking and havent seen anything quite like this with a good description. Just wondering if there is an actual name for the style.

This is the tiniest little thing. Had it on our tiny model and was too small for her - wouldnt zip in back. From the front though - WOW - made her figure look amazing.

Thanks so much - all input is appreciated!!!!

Wow--what a "hot" little number! I don't know as there is a name for the style of the entire ensemble, but I would describe this as an elegant sheath evening gown with bolero jacket, the jacket having a bow-trimmed closure (the bow does have either a clasp or some sort of hook & eye closure under it?) and patterned semi-sheer billowy sleeves.

Now, that doesn't give you a title, of course! But "bolero jacket" is pretty well recognized and understood to be a jacket that ends high up on the torso.
