Is There A Name For This?

This plaid, made in Scotland mohair scarf has
a capelet like shape and front pockets. Does this
particular style have a name?

Calling it a scarf with pockets sounds weird to me.

I, too, think wool wrap or shawl is accurate. But I think we called them "shawls" back in the day, though, more than "wrap," which I think is more recent terminology for them.... I'd say early 70s--very hippie looking! This would be great with those jeans & some tall boots!
 
i've got a couple of these, and the oldest one is 50's in towelling for the beach, i think the mohair ones were late 50's early 60's as the tartan mohair was a big style at that time, if you think of all those 24" wide tartain mohair stoles.. they were late 50's!

Thanks everyone who mentioned "shawl/wrap" for
some reason, both these terms alluded me and I
was fixated on calling it a scarf.
