Is there any way to date and identify these blue glass beads?

The string is 45" long, and can be doubled. No fastener; knotted between the beads. They are solid, weighty glass for sure, and look slightly irregular. Is there any way to say the era, where they'd be from, and/or the type of glass? I see quite a range of descriptions for somewhat similar pieces online.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi, Maggie,
You've come across one of the frequent puzzles of trying to date or identify the origins of many glass bead necklaces.
I cannot discern the date, nor the country of manufacture. YET, they are beautiful with that gorgeous blue. They could have been made anytime from the 1920s to yesterday.
You only know for sure if you see a clasp that says Czechoslovakia, Germany, or sometimes even Japan. I think the Japan glass necklaces are way underrated--I've seen some beauties. Also, many of these are Italian glass.

The high points of this necklace are the color, length, and individual knotting--all make it so worthy and lovely. Because of the color alone, this one is a staple of my wardrobe. It's easy to throw on and play with, and so easy to coordinate with other colors.

Sorry I couldn't be specifically helpful.

Ah! Well all of that is extremely helpful Janine!

What I don't like doing is calling an item something it isn't, but I don't mind saying it isn't clearly knowable.
