Is this 40s handmade sweater?

So Found this very cool handmade sweater. I believe its from the late 40s early 50s. Found some patterns of this color blocking that were used to create this look. I want to post it in my shop but want to get your opinion too. The first is just one picture I found of a color block pattern from 1947 that is a little similar, but there are a couple others I found that have that kinda square geo look too. And the next photos are of the actual sweater. I also think the way it is stitched and the material place it in that time period. There are photos of sweater inside and out to give you a through look. Am I on the right track or am I way off. Just keep clicking to the right.

Here are pictures from my flicker:

I know that it’s older it was purchased at an estate of a 90s plus women. This along with multiple item were found away in storage so I do know that it was knit not recently.

Some one sent this to me regarding my post. I think my sweater is probably later then I thought. But this 1940s colorblock pattern is interesting because of the colors. Not typically colors of the 1940s and some posted regarding 40s coloring. And then there is that square geo design again. Anyway just food for thought.

Your right Lindapoirier, I didn't think of that. It may be photo shopped and it is "retro knitting". I guess my take from all this is its probably an older pattern that was used and very creative in coloring with lots of work. I think I will sell it as handmade and I know for sure it has to be older then the 90s. I made some calls & found out that the items I purchased in the estate sale were in storage since the ladies daughter went away to collage and that was in 1989. So what I am thinking is she may have knitted this sweater for her daughter while she was in high school or mid school which would put it in the the 80s time frame. The women was a wonderful seamstress so would make sense she would have access to older patterns and talented enough to do all this beautiful work. I love vintage and all the research that goes into it you learn so much!! I appreciate everyone's input

I have been following this discussion and remembered that I had a similar sweater. I do not remember if I got it in the late '80's or early 1990's. This photo was taken near Carmel in 1991.

I took it with my phone in the album because it would probably be difficult to remove and replace the photo.

Very cool sweater! I can see some resemblance the pattern and multi color pop. That helps confirm everyone was on the right track 80s 90s it is. Thanks Linn!
