Is this a 40\'s or 50\'s bag?

Looking for opinions on if this is a 40's or 50's bag? At first I thought 40's but now not sure.

It is Deitsch blone croc.

I would tend to think 50's; I can see why you're going back and forth. Here is some Deitsch information, that may be helpful. It's a great looking bag! Deitsch bags are wonderful.

Then again, looking at the various Saks Fifth Avenue fonts, in the label resource here, it sure could be late 40's.

The strap looks kind of long. That tells me later but lets see what the others say.

I was thinking early 70s with the long srap and shape also.
But than I am no expert.

I'm wondering if the strap has been replaced. The color is right but a croc bag usually has a croc handle. The handle looks like leather but I can't see the top. Is it trimmed with croc?
