Is this a fox 'patchwork' coat?

Hi everyone,
I figure this is a coat from the 1970s. Is there a name for this type of patchwork fur? I think this is fox, but am not entirely sure.

It looks as though the sought after effect was a chevron pattern?

Is the fur in the collar the same as in the body of the coat? (The collar fur looks longer, and more like what I'm used to IDing as fox fur...)

Hi Carrie, the fur of the collar is much longer than the rest.

I wonder if the body of the coat is rabbit? That seemed to be the fur of choice with multicolor and patchwork 60s/70s furs...

i agree with Carrie; that patchwork part looks very much like rabbit
